Each Spot is accurate to +/-0.1 mm.(+/- .004") in size and location.
The Spooter-HS masking belt design allows for maximum flexibility in plating application. Change to a different pitch progression and/or to a different spot size is made in less than five minutes.
The transfer of technology is available for the owner of a Spotter-HS for the manufacturing and the designing of its own plating tools.
The Spotter-VT allows the plating of flat semi-conductor frames or contoured formed contact
terminals with possibilities, such as, spot or stripe plating on one or simultaneously on two sides. Due to the
Spotter-VT configuration, the plating solution can flow through the contacts, from one cell to the other,
allowing precise and exclusive plating of contact terminal edges (east/west type of plating). On the contrary,
silicone masking forms can be inserted between each contact to prevent plating on the edges, resulting in
substantial saving of precious metal (south/north type of plating).
