The Spooter-HS Unit

High Precision Continuous Spot or Stripe Plating Unit for Semi-Conductor Lead Frames

Because the Spotter-HS is a horizontal linear system, speeds up to 12m/min (40ft/min) are currently achieved with no mechanical damage or distortion to the lead frame.


Each Spot is accurate to +/-0.1 mm.(+/- .004") in size and location.


The Spooter-HS masking belt design allows for maximum flexibility in plating application. Change to a different pitch progression and/or to a different spot size is made in less than five minutes.


The transfer of technology is available for the owner of a Spotter-HS for the manufacturing and the designing of its own plating tools.


The Spotter-VT Unit

High Precision Continuous Spot or Stripte Plating Unit for Connector Terminals or Semi-Conductor Lead Frames


Outstanding accuracy, with each spot accurate to +/- 0.1 mm. (+/-0.004"), is achieved through each mask link, of the endless belt.


The Spotter-VT allows the plating of flat semi-conductor frames or contoured formed contact terminals with possibilities, such as, spot or stripe plating on one or simultaneously on two sides. Due to the Spotter-VT configuration, the plating solution can flow through the contacts, from one cell to the other, allowing precise and exclusive plating of contact terminal edges (east/west type of plating). On the contrary, silicone masking forms can be inserted between each contact to prevent plating on the edges, resulting in substantial saving of precious metal (south/north type of plating).


The Rainbow-Cell

High Precision Multiple-Stripe Plating on Stamped or Solid Strip


The Rainbow-Cell is designed to treat the strip in a vertical mode to reduce the solution drag out and to eliminate the twisting area, resulting in a space saving on the plating line. The strip is driven through a curved cell to improve sealing onto the back side of the strip.
